I am Head of Literature and the Spoken Word at the Southbank Centre in London. Originally the site of The Festival of Britain in the summer of 1951 it has since become a permanent festival site, delivering a diverse programme of music, literature, visual arts, dance and performance within a growing range of thematically driven festivals, including Alchemy, WOW - Women of the World, the London Literature Festival and the bi-annual Poetry International..

I am responsible for talks, performances, interviews and conversations about the written and spoken word. Our aim is to offer life enriching encounters between audiences and the world’s great and emerging artists; as well as enabling anyone to experience the excitement of exploring their own creativity and artistry through our far-reaching programme of learning and participation..
